Will I buy your piano or take that free piano off your hands? Possibly, but not likely.

Currently, I have a very small shop and only have room to work on a couple at a time.  From time to time I will consider purchasing a piano to fix up, but for the most part, I just don't have the shop/storage room to take on too many pianos right now.

If your piano is in good shape at a good price, feel free to contact me and I'll see if I have the space.  If I don't, sometimes I know of someone who may be looking for a piano to purchase, so it never hurts to ask.

1981 Yamaha P202 Console
Coming Soon!
(Hopefully Mid-August 2026)

Yamaha P202 Console
1981 Yamaha P202 console piano with original, matching, and padded bench.

Price to be determined once complete and ready to sell.

Perfect piano for the beginner or experienced pianist alike. While not a grand piano, Yamaha consoles make excellent pianos for the home, office, school, church classroom or small sanctuary. If you're looking for a quality upgrade without breaking the bank on a new one, this may well be worth considering.

Notable items:

- Flange cords on this piano have just been replaced by me (deteriorating hammer flange cords are a known issue with older used Yamaha actions and can cause clicking/scratching noises, notes not to play correctly, etc. When purchasing a used Yamaha console/studio, it is important to be sure either the cords are new enough to not be a problem, or have been properly replaced. If you see dark brown hammer butt spring cords in a piano you're looking at, beware. However, once the cords have been replaced, the action should serve you as designed for years to come).

- Tuning pins are tight and piano holds tune.

- Keytops were scratched when I got it. They have been cleaned and buffed.

- Minor cosmetic case issues.

- I'm selling this piano with a 1 year limited warranty.

* Moving options:

1) Free - Piano can be picked up at my location to save any moving fees, but you must provide your own equipment (adequate truck/trailer, straps, pads, dolly, ramp, and helpers, etc). I will consider loaning straps, pads, dollies, and/or ramps. (cash deposit required based on equipment's replacement value, but fully refundable when equipment is returned undamaged).

--- OR ---

2) $200 (+ potential mileage ) - Move piano from my shop to your location within the immediate Springfield, Mo. area (more specifically, 30 miles from my shop and assuming that the piano will be moved to a main level of home, etc. or can be easily moved into your home using my 8' ramp from ground, or ramped from the deck of my trailer to your porch, etc). $4/mi. one way mileage will be charged for distances further than 30 miles.

Please contact me for an appointment to come take a look at it.
